Compressed Air Motor
Purpose
I Spent 10 weeks working on creating this project by following dimensioned and toleranced drawings. I learned how to utilize all machines in the shop. The project allowed me to work with different materials ranging from brass, aluminum, iron and plastic. The compressed air pressurizes the piston which moves the fly wheel and testing resulted in a fly wheel speed of 3000 rpm. Additionally, I learned how to use measuring devices like calipers, micrometers and dowel pins.
